![]() ![]() ![]() I turned up unprepared no change of clothing no shorts and no foot ware - but he took care of that! The river "tasted" clean enough. "George" our main guide was a gentleman and very helpful. We had lunch after - which was good enough - after the mornings activities. We were encouraged to jump in and swim so the river was safe - with the gear we had on. The reason was for fun and also for good footage which the other half of the team (the video man) was busy gathering from the shore. For our group, we were nearly wanting to turnover and have a "dramatic" event. You were encouraged to "let go and go with the flow." We were group-shouting and bantering. It was very enjoyable for the craziness encouraged. You need to be a little bit fitter than with the rafting but nothing extreme. The highest cliffjump (optional) is 13m high.Īll in all an amazing highlight of our trip. One or 2 of the smaller ones are 'mandatory" but all the others are optional. There are several 'jumping-sections' where you can jump down. The way up the river mostly consists of climbing up rocks, cliffs, ropes and such but the way down has its own challenges. The neopreen shoes are great but the cave is slippery and one should be cautious. Your wetsuits will keep you afloat bit you should be able to stay swimming for prolonged periods of time and occasionally be able to pull yourself up in a wetsuit while you locate where you can best put your feet for grip. (beware: I am an experienced obstacle runner and mega-hard is not for the faint of hearted) Usually there are 2 or 3 options to continue forward 'easy, medium, and in one instance 'mega-hard'. The cavern itself is not that hard to cross through for someone who is fit. He has a great character and made our day. I was in the sportive group and assigned to Ali's team.Īli was an amazing guide who clearly enjoyed every minute of his job. One 'family' group and one 'sportive' group. Ww arrive in similar fashion but this time all gear (including shoes) are included in the price so no need to worry about anything there. Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.Īs said: aladin's canyon was up next. We felt that price was to steep and therefor decided to opt out.Īll in all the rafting was an amazing experience. The only downside to this day was the pricetag on getting the pictures/video.It costs a wopping €30 for the usb with pictures and video or €25 for just the pictures. You conclude the day watching the video and some pictures that the people of xdream took of you during that day. Once you arrive back at the base/camp you get lunch consisting of pasta/salad and bbq. One of the people in one of the boats was 88 years old. This makes the activity suitable for most of all ages. The raft itself was about 12km according to my gps-watch and contains a couple of wildwater section but mostly consists of calm water that also allows you to jump overboard and go for a swim. There is the option to cross over a bridge instead in case you dont feel like crossing through cold water (but that would raise the question why you would want to go rafting in the first place).Īfter that we arrived at the boats. The rafting starts by letting you cross through a small creek. Its cheaper to buy them in town prior to going on the trip.Īfter that you put your belongings in the bus/van that brought you and then you go on the activity. ![]() With the rafting it should be noted that the watershoes are not included in the price and they can be bought for an increased price on site. You are brought to a small set of buildings where you can change in the appropriate gear. In aladin's wasserwelt you have to climb, swim and jump your way through a 6km flooded canyon.īoth trips start roughly in the same manner. ![]() We are extremely delighted with both trips but aladin's wasserwelt was the highlight of our trip. On tuesday we went rafting and on sunday we went to Aladin's canyon/aladin's wasserwelt. My girlfriend and I did 2 activities with Xdream. ![]()
